Tumblestones or tumbled stones have been tumbled with grit in a large tumbling machine to create a polished surface that is pleasant to hold and is also good for reflecting the colour of the stone.
These tumblestones are our 'standard stock' and we usually have many available. They all pass Sue's quality test, but since they are natural stones there will be some variation in appearance. You may not receive the item in the photograph.
These Amazonite tumblestones are from Russia and are darker than the Amazonite from Brazil
Amazonite is an excellent stone for balancing masculine and feminine energies within the self. It brings calmness in times of stress, but also gently and subtly increases energy, self-confidence and motivation when needed. It helps to release anger and frustration and aids compassion. This can be really useful when frustration is directed back at oneself, and could lead to self-destructive behaviour, thus freeing the energy that is stuck in self judgement and criticism, so that we can express the beauty of our true being.
Amazonite was named for the Amazon River in South America, but nowadays comes from Russia, Australia, Madagascar and Brazil. It is a light bluish green feldspar, often with white streaks and sometimes with a beautiful sheen.
