The name Anhydrite comes from the Greek word Anhydra, which means without water, and refers to the fact that Anhydrite (CaSO4 ) has the same chemical composition as Gypsum (CaSO4 · 2H2O), but without the water (H2O). This means that it is similar to Selenite and Satin Spar. Cleanse with a non-water method.

Angelite is a beautiful, soft blue form of the mineral Anhydrite.  The heavenly blue colour of Angelite suggests lightness, yet the stone is surprisingly heavy and substantial. To me, this combination perfectly describes the energy of Angelite. It has a beautiful calm energy, bringing peace and tranquillity. It is a very spiritual stone, helping to expand awareness and connect with the angelic realms for wisdom, guidance and support. Unlike some ‘more spiritual’ stones, however, it has a grounded stability that enables us to bring these qualities into our day to day lives.
