Indigo Gabbro/Mystic Merlinite Pebble 1 *
Indigo Gabbro/Mystic Merlinite Pebble 1 *
This beautifully polished pebble is Indigo Gabbro from Madagascar, which is also marketed under the trade name of Mystic Merlinite. It is a mix of colours, including black, white and some rather beautiful blues and purples – hence indigo in the name.
This pebble measures approximately 57mm x 40mm.

Apart from being really pretty, I find the energy of Indigo Gabbro is quite lovely. It has the same ‘as above, so below’ that Nuumite has, but it is much softer, less intense and easier to integrate. It reaches up to Spirit, and also deep into the Earth, bringing both into balance in daily life. It can also have a dreamy quality, but it does not support drifting off into fantasy; rather it can bring back wisdom into the physical world.
I always aim to understand the make up of the items I sell, and most of the crystal sellers on the web say that Mystic Merlinite is a type Gabbro found in Madagascar, and that Gabbro is a mix of Quartz and Feldspar. I know that these came from Madagascar, but they don’t feel Quartzy, so I looked into it more.
Mindat says: A group of basic intrusive igneous rocks composed principally of basic plagioclase (commonly labradorite or bytownite) and clinopyroxene (augite), with or without olivine and orthopyroxene; also, any member of that group. It is the approximate coarse grained/intrusive equivalent of basalt. Apatite, magnetite and ilmenite are common accessory minerals. Commonly dark-colored.
Another mineral, as opposed to crystal healing source, says: Gabbro is a intrusive coarse-grained rock. Gabbros contain low silicon (no Quartz or Alkali feldspar). Gabbros are mostly dark in color, ranging between dark gray and greenish black because of a high proportion of ferromagnesian minerals.
