Herkimer Diamonds are double-terminated quartz crystals from the area in and around Herkimer County, New York and the Mohawk River Valley. Named for their beautiful sparkle, they are truly ‘Seeds of Light’. They often have small black flecks of androxylite, and sometimes tiny golden oil inclusions.

 As with all quartz crystals, Herkimer Diamonds clear the dross within our physical and energy bodies, bringing a new bright energy, clarity and focus. Herkimers open and strengthen our ‘sixth senses’ and are particularly good at reminding us who we are and reconnecting us with our spiritual truth.

Herkimer type crystals, i.e. small stubby double-terminated quartz, are also found in other locations, such as Morocco, Afghanistan, Mexico, Tibet/Himalayas.
