Tumblestones or tumbled stones have been tumbled with grit in a large tumbling machine to create a polished surface that is pleasant to hold and is also good for reflecting the colour of the stone. They are a great, inexpensive way to get to know crystals and to start building your collection. They are also perfect tools for healing and gridmaking.
If you purchase a pair or grid set, each is individually handpicked with great care for balance and coherence. If you order multiple singles, we cannot always guarantee to have enough stock to make up a balanced pair or set, but we will do our best.
These tumblestones are our 'standard stock' and we usually have many available. They all pass Sue's quality test, but since they are natural stones there will be some variation in appearance. You may not receive the item in the photograph.
Flint is a sedimentary type of Quartz mineral. It is often found as nodules in chalk.
For 2.5 million years Flint has been used to make stone tools. It is also used to create sparks, and thus fire.
Humans, therefore, have a very long relationship with Flint.
These beautiful banded Flint tumblestones have no sharp edges! They are beautifully polished and very tactile.
I love Flint. It is gently grounding, protective, aligns our chakras and energy bodies and connects earth and spirit. Personally, I find Flint to be very smooth, settling and harmonious, while increasing conscious awareness and presence.
