Larvikite is an igneous rock from the town of Larvik in Norway composed mainly of plagioclase and feldspar. It has areas of rainbow sparkles, like pieces of Labradorite.
It is sometimes called Black Labradorite or Black Moonstone..

 In many ways it feels similar to Labradorite, though I find it much more grounding and protective.

Labradorite teaches about the mystery and magic of Creation, awakening psychic perception and opening us to greater understanding and wisdom. It is wonderful for meditation, dreaming, shamanic journeying.
