Tumblestones or tumbled stones have been tumbled with grit in a large tumbling machine to create a polished surface that is pleasant to hold and is also good for reflecting the colour of the stone. They are a great, inexpensive way to get to know crystals and to start building your collection. They are also perfect tools for healing and gridmaking.
If you purchase a pair or grid set, each is individually handpicked with great care for balance and coherence. If you order multiple singles, we cannot always guarantee to have enough stock to make up a balanced pair or set, but we will do our best.
These tumblestones are our 'standard stock' and we usually have many available. They all pass Sue's quality test, but since they are natural stones there will be some variation in appearance. You may not receive the item in the photograph.
Obsidian is natural volcanic glass. Although Blue Obsidian does occur naturally, it is rare, and most Blue Obsidian, including these tumblestones, is man made.
I don’t stock many man made crystals. The deciding factor is - do I like them? I do like Blue Obsidian. I use it. There are times, in crystal healing treatments, when this is exactly the right energy and nothing else will do.
My experience of working with Blue Obsidian is that it highlights and shows me the energy in the meridians which appears as flowing blue light. The shades of blue aren’t the same - ‘meridian’ blue is more electric - but Blue Obsidian opens, clears, removes blockages and allows energy to flow at the etheric level.
